Rashmika Mandanna to lead romantic drama 'Rainbow' opposite Dev Mohan; official poster out

Actor Rashmika Mandanna will star opposite Dev Mohan in the romantic drama titled ‘Rainbow’. Producers SR Prakash Babu and SR Prabhu of Dream Warrior Pictures made the announcement on Monday and wrote, ‘Today marks the start of a colourful journey. Join us as we bring the world of #Rainbow to life!’. The film will be directed by debutant Shantharuban.

The shooting for ‘Rainbow’ will reportedly commence on April 7.

Rashmika too shared the news on social media and wrote, ‘#Rainbow … The different colours of life. This is extremely special to me.. I hope I have all of your blessings and love.. And I really hope and pray that this becomes your next favourite characters of mine..’

Talking about the film, she shared, ‘For the first time I am playing the protagonist where the story is shot from the girl’s perspective. I am so so excited to bring this character alive for all of you. Rainbow is definitely such a movie that will both entertain and excite you.. the journey of the audience with the girl is going to be a crazy ride so bucket up all, this is going to be a fun ride.’

Rashmika Mandanna will soon be seen in ‘Animal’ alongside Ranbir Kapoor. The film is expected to release on August 11, 2023. Besides this, she also has ‘Pushpa: The Rule’ in her kitty.
