Pankaj Tripathi Ventures into Production with 'Perfect Family'

New Delhi, Nov 19 (PTI) — Pankaj Tripathi, the celebrated National Award-winning actor, is stepping into the world of production with "Perfect Family," an eight-episode dramedy poised to make its debut on YouTube via a structured pay model.

Produced by Ajay Rai of JAR Pictures and Mohit Chhabra, and brought to life by creator Palak Bhambri, the series is set to premiere on November 27 on the JAR Series YouTube channel, as per a press release.

The creators describe "Perfect Family" as a bold experiment within India’s dynamic digital landscape. While viewers will have permanent free access to the first two episodes, the subsequent episodes can be accessed with a one-time payment of Rs 59.

Directed by Sachin Pathak, the series boasts a stellar cast, including Gulshan Devaiah, Neha Dhupia, Manoj Pahwa, Seema Pahwa, and Girija Oak, among others.

The dramedy delves into the lives of an ostensibly typical yet “not-so-perfect” family who find themselves in therapy following an incident involving their young daughter. It humorously tackles the societal stigma surrounding therapy in India.

Pankaj Tripathi expressed that his initial venture as a producer with a project that defies conventional release formats feels both “refreshing and essential”.
