Kanu Behl's 'Agra' to Release Nationwide on November 14

Mumbai, Sep 30 (PTI) Filmmaker Kanu Behl’s acclaimed feature film "Agra" is set for a nationwide theatrical release on November 14, as announced by the makers on Tuesday. Co-written by Behl and Atika Chohan, the film delves into the sexual dynamics within a family while highlighting the societal fractures due to diminishing spaces. After premiering at the Directors’ Fortnight, an independent section at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival, "Agra" has garnered multiple accolades. These include the Special Jury Award at the Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival, Best Indie Film and Best Actor at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne, as well as Best Film and Best Actor at the 2024 New York Indian Film Festival. An Indo-French co-production by Saregama India Ltd, UFO Production, and O28 Films, "Agra" marks Behl’s second feature film following "Titli" (2015), which also debuted at Cannes. The film was developed through the PJLF Three Rivers Residency in Italy and supported by the ‘Aide aux cinémas du monde’ film fund.
