Disney CEO Bob Iger receives title of honorary Knight of British Empire: 'One of the greatest honours'

Disney CEO Bob Iger has been honoured with the Knight of the British Empire title. The title was presented to him by the Duke of Cambridge, Prince William on Tuesday in England. Iger's wife, Willow Bay, shared the official pictures from the honorary ceremony. She said it was an 'incredible experience and proud family moment.'

Bob Iger is officially a Knight!

Prince William presented Disney Boss Iger with the post-nominal title of Knight Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire. The coveted ceremony took place on Tuesday in the UK. During the ceremony, other politicians, various artists, diplomats, and humanitarians, were also honoured.

Bob Iger's honour was announced back in 2022. He remains one of the last batches of people to receive the title from Queen Elizabeth II herself before she passed away in September of the same year.

'One of the great honours of my life'

Bob Iger took to X to share his gratitude upon receiving the honorary title. He wrote, "It is one of the great honors of my life to have the honorary Knight of the British Empire conferred on me by Queen Elizabeth II before she passed. I have great affection for the people of the UK & have always appreciated and been inspired by their extraordinary contributions."

Asad Ayaz, Chief brand officer of Disney, shared a post on Instagram to congratulate Iger. “Congratulations Bob, on becoming an Honorary Knight Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire at Windsor Castle today!” he wrote along with a photo of Iger.
