The Weekend wrap: DeepVeer’s baby to Bollywood’s Ganapati celebrations

The world of entertainment has been buzzing this weekend. From Bollywood’s power couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh becoming the new parents to star-studded Ganpati celebrations, there’s a lot that has happened in showbiz.

DeepVeer welcome baby girl

After serving the trendiest maternity looks throughout her pregnancy, Deepika Padukone delivered a baby girl on September 8th. The elated new parents took to Instagram to make the announcement with a sweet message ‘Welcome Baby Girl’. Deepika and Ranveer’s Bollywood friends poured in wishes for the couple and their newborn.

The weekend also marked Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations where various stars were seen enjoying the religious and devotional fervour.

Ambanis, who are known to host the grandest Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations, made sure that this year’s celebrations are even more special. Newlyweds Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant smeared gulaal on each other and danced their hearts out.
Salman Khan and his family were spotted dancing joyfully during the Ganesh Visarjan ceremony. Shilpa Shetty was another celebrity who stole the limelight with her dance and celebrations with her husband and children.

Actor Vikas Sethi no more

‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ fame Vikas Sethi has passed away at 48 due to cardiac arrest. A popular TV actor of the 2000’s, he is also known for his roles in ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gum’. His wife Jhanvi Sethi revealed that the actor was feeling uneasy during his last hours before his death. She shared that right before his death, Vikas had travelled to Nashik from Mumbai for a family function and he felt dehydrated.

Jhanvi said that Vikas vomited and had loose motions after reaching Nashik. He refused to go to the hospital and hence they called the doctor at home. The doctor told the family that he passed away in his sleep due to a cardiac arrest.
