Salman Khan joins forces with 'Jawan' director Atlee for new film; shoot begins next year: Reports

After Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan is all set to join hands with ace filmmaker Atlee, reportedly. Several media reports have suggested that Atlee has roped in Salman for his next after his project with Allu Arjun did not materialise. The 'Jawan' director is currently finalising the script, and Sun Pictures will produce the ambitious venture.

Salman Khan X Atlee collab on the cards?

According to a report by Telugu 360, the film will go on the floors next year after Salman Khan wraps up the shooting for 'Sikander', which he announced earlier this year.
Reportedly, Atlee initially aimed to collaborate with Telugu superstar Allu Arjun for a pan-India action entertainer. However, Atlee's substantial paycheck for the film was reportedly a setback for Geetha Arts, owned by Allu Arjun's father, Allu Aravind. After his project with Allu Arjun got shelved, Atlee approached Salman Khan with a new idea which the 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' reportedly liked.

Salman Khan's upcoming films

Salman Khan will begin shooting for 'Sikander' on June 19. Backed by Nadiadwala Grandson, the film will be directed by A.R. Murugadoss, who is known for the Aamir Khan-starrer Ghajini. Salman Khan will also return for the sequel of 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan'. Writer Vijayendra Prasad has already written the script and will soon narrate it to Salman, producer KK Radhamohan said at an event in April.
