Nawazuddin Siddiqui's mother files police complaint against his wife Aaliya over property dispute

Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui's mother Mehrunisa Siddiqui has filed a police complaint against the actor's wife Aaliya, according to news agency ANI. Following this, the Versova police has called the actor’s wife for questioning. According to the Versova Police, Aaliya allegedly had an argument with Nawazuddin's mother. There is reportedly a property dispute between Nawazuddin's mother and Aaliya alias Zainab.

A case has been registered under sections 452, 323, 504 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code.
Nawazuddin tied the knot with Aaliya aka Zainab over a decade ago. They are parents to son Yaani Siddiqui and daughter Shora Siddiqui.

Aaliya had sent a legal notice to Nawazuddin in 2020 demanding a divorce. She had alleged that she was subjected to domestic violence. She claimed that Nawazuddin’s brother Shamas Siddiqui hit her even though the actor never raised his hands.

Aaliya reversed her decision to divorce Nawazuddin a year later. Speaking with ABP News, she had said, ‘Earlier, he was never able to pay attention to his children. But now, I am really surprised to see him like this. Both me and Nawaz will try together to remove all the problems between us. Going forward, we will sort all the problems and misconceptions. We have been talking about this.’

After Aaliya first opened up about her wish to mend her marriage, Nawazuddin had told Bombay Times, ‘I prefer not to talk about my personal life, and I have never spoken ill of anyone. I don’t let negativity and hatred get to me. She is still the mother of my children, and we have shared a decade of our life together. I will always support her no matter what.’

On the work front, Nawazuddin Siddiqui has several films in the pipeline. He will be seen as a transwoman in ‘Haddi’. He also has Kangana Ranaut's production, ‘Tiku Weds Sheru’, ‘Bole Chudiyan’, ‘Jogira Sa Ra Ra Ra’ and ‘Afwah’ in his kitty.
