‘Gadar 2’s ‘Udd Jaa Kaale Kaava’: Sunny Deol-Ameesha Patel recreate the magic in this romantic number

The first track from Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel starrer ‘Gadar 2’, titled ‘Udd Jaa Kaale Kaava’, has been released. The song reimagines the original number from the first film, which was released in 2000.

‘Udd Jaa Kaale Kaava’ is performed by original singers Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik. The original song was composed by Uttam Singh, but the new version has been re-arranged by Mithoon.

The song shows Sunny and Ameesha in a courtyard. Sunny dusts off a stringed instrument ‘dilruba’, and gazes into Ameesha’s eyes, which happen to be purple.

A little while later, they take the romance outdoors.

The video ends with Sunny looking emotional near a grave.

Fans have liked the new version of the song.

‘Only 90’s kids can understand the feeling of seeing Sunny Paaji back in this role,’ one person commented. ‘Full justice to the original composition..Mithoon has recreated this beautifully,’ wrote another person.

‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’ became a blockbuster when it debuted alongside Aamir Khan starrer ‘Lagaan’.

‘Gadar 2’, directed by Anil Sharma, will face stiff competition at the box office when it releases on August 11 alongside Ranbir Kapoor-starrer ‘Animal’, and Akshay Kumar’s ‘OMG 2’.

‘Gadar 2’ also stars Utkarsh Sharma, Simrat Kaur and Luv Sinha in pivotal roles.
