Veteran Actor Achyut Potdar Passes Away at 90 in Mumbai

Mumbai, Aug 19 - Veteran actor Achyut Potdar, renowned for his memorable performances in TV shows and films such as "Bharat Ki Khoj," "Pradhan Mantri," and the iconic "3 Idiots," has passed away at a hospital in Mumbai. In his 90s, Potdar's contributions to the film and television industry are deeply cherished.

The actor was admitted to Jupiter Hospital at approximately 4 p.m., where he was later pronounced dead, according to sources.

Achyut Potdar was celebrated for his versatility in supporting roles across numerous significant productions, including "Aandolan," "Wagle Ki Duniya," "Dabangg 2," and "Ferrari Ki Sawaari."

His brief yet impactful portrayal of a professor in Rajkumar Hirani’s "3 Idiots" left a lasting impression, with his line "Kehna Kya Chahte Ho" becoming a fan-favorite moment. This line, delivered alongside Aamir Khan, regularly resurfaces in pop culture, especially through memes.
