A blend of rural and urban settings, Rajasthan has 25 Lok Sabha seats. The state's political landscape has traditionally alternated between BJP and Congress, but since 2014, Narendra Modi-led BJP has decimated the Congress. This essentially means that the BJP has been in total control of the state leaving the Congress with no representation in the lower house of the Parliament.

Rajasthan is also one of the crucial states where both BJP and Congress engage in direct political battle without the support of any allies. This time around, the situation is no different.
