This week on the EJ Tech Show, we review the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G and iQoo Z6 5G smartphones, which try and offer great value for a 5G experience at their price points. We also take a look at the Oppo Watch Free.

Samsung Galaxy A53 5G specs

The Samsung Galaxy A53 5G smartphone has been launched in India. The Galaxy A53 5G is powered by the Exynos 1280 chipset, along with up to 8GB RAM, and up to 256GB storage. The Galaxy A53 5G display is a 6.5-inch FHD+ AMOLED unit with a 120Hz refresh rate.

For optics, the Galaxy A53 5G camera is a quad rear camera, with a 64MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, a 5MP depth sensor, and a 5MP macro lens. On the front is a 32MP selfie camera.

The Samsung Galaxy A53 5G battery a 5,000mAh unit with 25W fast charging support. The Galaxy A53 5G comes with One UI 4.1 based on Android 12, and Samsung promises up to four years of OS updates, and five years of security updates. The Galaxy A53 5G is also IP67 rated for dust and water resistance.

The Samsung Galaxy A53 5G price in India has been set at ₹34,499 for 6GB + 128GB, and ₹35,999 for 8GB + 128GB.

Oppo Watch Free specs

Oppo Watch Free specs include a 1.64-inch AMOLED touch screen and 5ATM water-proof rating.

Oppo Watch Free features include 24/7 heart-rate tracking, SpO2 monitor, over 100 workout modes and a claimed 14-day battery life with a 270mAh unit. The Oppo Watch Free price in India is set at ₹5,999.

iQoo Z6 5G specs

The iQoo Z6 is powered by the Snapdragon 695 SoC, along with up to 8GB RAM, and 128GB storage. The phone offers a 6.58-inch FHD+ LCD display, with a 120Hz refresh rate.

For optics, the iQoo Z6 offers a triple rear camera setup, with a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP depth sensor.

Keeping the lights on is a 5,000mAh battery. The iQoo Z6 has been priced starting at ₹15,999 for 4GB + 128GB, and goes up to ₹17,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant.
