The victim, identified as Vinay Srivastava, was found dead with bullet injuries at the house of Union Minister Kaushal Kishore.
A licensed revolver allegedly belonging to the minister's son was recovered from the scene, as per a Hindustan Times report.
Minister Kishore said that the culprit won't be spared, and also promised help to the family of the victim.
Police took 3 suspects into custody, as per a News18 report.

Manoj Chowdhary alias Monu Jaat was having lunch in his chambers around 2 pm when two assailants entered the room and fired at him. He died on the spot, they said.
Shortly after the shooting, a police team arrived at the spot with forensic experts. After completing the legal formalities, Chowdhary's body was sent for post-mortem, they added.
Police teams are obtaining CCTV footage from cameras installed on the court premises, Deputy Commissioner of Police (City) Nipun Agarwal said. At the time of the attack, other lawyers were holding a meeting to chalk out their strategy about a strike, called by bar associations in western Uttar Pradesh in support of their colleagues in Hapur, the police said.&nbsp;

The couple used to engage in frequent altercations, according to their neighbours. On August 26, the two had a verbal spat over Vaishnav's suspicion that the woman was cheating on him.
During the argument, the man beat Deva to death with a pressure cooker.&nbsp;

The body of a 10-year-old boy, the son of a domestic help, was recovered from the residence of Lok Sabha MP Rajdeep Roy in Assam's Cachar district on Saturday, police said.
The body was found with a cloth wrapped around the neck, Cachar Additional Superintendent of Police Subrata Sen told PTI.
The victim's mother was working in the house of the BJP leader as a domestic help for two-and-a-half years and was originally from Dholai area, he said.
"The body was sent to Silchar Medical College and Hospital for postmortem examination. We are investigating the matter," Sen, who visited the spot soon after receiving information, said.
The MP did not want to make any comment on the incident, saying that the police are investigating the case.

Kuber Group director Vikas Malu has been summoned by Haryana police for questioning for his alleged role in the Rolls Royce accident that killed two people, according to NDTV.
An oil tanker driver and his helper were killed on 22 August 2023 after their vehicle was hit by Malu's ultra-luxurious Rolls-Royce on the Delhi-Mumbai-Baroda Expressway.
The initial FIR had pinned the blame on the oil tanker driver but CCTV footage revealed that it was actually Malu's car speeding at 230kilometre per hour that came from behind and hit the oil tanker.

Sahil is on the run, with police searching for him, as per latest reports.

The wife of the deceased told the police that he had gone to the hotel to celebrate the birthday of his female friend, who forced him to snuff out life.&nbsp;

A 35-year-old man here allegedly committed suicide, recording and broadcasting the act through Instagram Live from a hotel room, police said on Tuesday.
The wife of the deceased, Vikram, has accused a woman of blackmailing him and forcing her husband to commit suicide.
According to the complaint filed by Neeru, the wife, a native of Hisar, on Monday, her husband Vikram had gone to a hotel in Sector 38 at the call of a female friend of his to celebrate her birthday.
"At the hotel, my husband was forced to commit suicide and even record it on Instagram Live. She was constantly blackmailing Vikram and demanding money from him. She had some objectionable videos of both of them which she threatened to make upload online.
"She tortured Vikram twice and forced him to kill himself," Neeru said in her complaint, according to police.
The couple lives with its two children in the Rajendra Park area, she said.
Following her complaint, an FIR was registered against the female friend under section 306 (abetment to suicide) of the IPC at Sadar Police Station on Monday, said police.
"An FIR has been registered against Anshi, a native of Himachal Pradesh, as per the complaint. We are verifying the facts and action will be taken as per the law," said Inspector Subhash Chand, SHO, Sadar Police Station.&nbsp;

An army officer allegedly killed a 30-year-old woman with whom he was in an extramarital relationship after she started pressuring him to marry her, police said on Monday.
Ramendu Upadhyay, a lieutenant colonel in the Army, was arrested on Monday for the murder of the woman whose body with injury marks on the head was found on the outskirts of the city the previous day, SP (City) Sarita Dobhal said.&nbsp;
Upadhyay who was posted in Clement Town had alcohol with the woman, identified as Shreya Sharma, in a restaurant on Saturday night and offered to take her on a long drive to which she agreed.&nbsp;
However, after reaching a desolate place on the outskirts of the city he parked the car and hit the woman repeatedly on the head with a hammer until she died, Dobhal said. After killing Shreya, Upadhyay dumped her body along the roadside and drove away, the SP said, adding that the army officer was already married and was under pressure from the woman to marry her.
The army officer has confessed to the crime, she said. The murder weapon, the car used for the crime and the clothes Upadhyay was wearing at the time of committing the crime have been recovered, the SP said.&nbsp;
The army officer in his 40s had been transferred recently to Dehradun from Siliguri where he met Shreya, a woman of Nepali origin, for the first time in a dance bar.&nbsp;
Their friendship soon grew into a relationship, police said. Upadhyay told police that after being transferred to Dehradun, he had rented a separate flat for Shreya. They used to meet at her flat and she would often complain that he was not giving her the status of a wife, police said.&nbsp;

Police said that the body had been sent for a post-mortem examination.

A teenaged boy has been arrested in Delhi for allegedly killing his tutor

A 14-year-old has been detained for allegedly killing his 28-year-old tutor who sexually assaulted him on several occasions, police said on Saturday.
The boy was apprehended on Friday, three days after he allegedly murdered the man using a sharp weapon in an act of revenge, they added.
The police said they received information around 2.15 pm on Wednesday that an apartment on the second floor of a building at Jamia Nagar, Batla House, was found open with blood splattered outside it.
When the police reached the flat, they found the man's body lying on the floor with deep cut injuries on his neck, they said.
The one-room apartment where the body was found was owned by the deceased's family and had been vacated by a tenant only a few days ago, the officer said.&nbsp;
During the investigation, it was revealed that the deceased met the teenaged boy around two months ago, following which he allegedly sexually assaulted him several times, Deputy Commissioner of Police (South East) Rajesh Deo said.
The tutor even recorded a private video of his student and threatened to release it on social media if he did not listen to his demands, the DCP said.
On the day of the incident, after receiving a call from his tutor to meet him at his Jamia Nagar house, the juvenile allegedly reached the apartment with a sharp paper cutter and slit the man's throat before fleeing the spot.

Rajasthan Police on 2nd September arrested three people, including the husband, accused of beating and stripping a woman publicly and recording the act on camera in Pratapgarh district.
The arrest came after a 21-year-old woman was publicly beaten and stripped allegedly by her husband and his family members.
According to the police, the woman was allegedly in a relationship with another man, which triggered the attack on her.
Director General of Police (DGP) Umesh Mishra said the in-laws of the woman kidnapped her and took her to their village where the incident took place. Her in-laws were annoyed as she was staying with another man, he said.
On the direction of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, DGP Mishra sent ADG (Crime) Dinesh MN to Pratapgarh on Friday night. The video showed a man stripping a woman in front of people and parading her naked in a village of the district.
The incident purportedly took place on 31 August 2023, PTI said.&nbsp;
