Man beat up 3-yr-old daughter for playing in bathroom, pushed pregnant wife: Hyderabad police

In a disturbing incident, a man has been accused of viciously beating up his 3-year-old daughter. The incident reportedly occurred in Telangana's Hyderabad on 7 August 2022.

The child's mother filed a complaint with the police against her husband. She claimed that when her 3-year-old daughter was playing in the bathroom, her husband started beating her up with a ladle for not exiting. The mother intervened but was pushed away by the man. Then he allegedly banged his daughter against the floor.

The victim has reportedly been admitted to a hospital. The couple got married in 2015 and have 4 daughters. The mother is 8 months pregnant.

The father was detained by police after being booked under Section 307 of the Indian Penal Code which relates to attempted murder. Relevant sections of the Juvenile Justice Act have also been invoked.
