This special drive, to be carried out from August 17 to October 21, 2022, is extended to all non-ULIP policies with very attractive concession in late fee. 
The campaign is launched to benefit those policy holders who were not able to pay premiums due to unavoidable circumstances and their policy lapsed. 
Shares of LIC have fallen 25 percent from their listing in May, though they have rebound 8 percent since hitting the 52-week low of Rs 650 on June 20.

This special drive, to be carried out from August 17 to October 21, 2022, is extended to all non-ULIP policies with very attractive concession in late fee.&nbsp; "Life Insurance cover is a risk management, for contingent, unexpected loss of life. This campaign gives a rare opportunity for LIC&rsquo;s valued policy holders to revive their lapsed policies and continue the benefit of insurance to protect the financial interests of their family," LIC said in its statement.

The campaign is launched to benefit those policy holders who were not able to pay premiums due to unavoidable circumstances and their policy lapsed.&nbsp; Under the campaign, except for ULIP policies, all policies can be revived within 5 years from the date of the First Unpaid Premium subject to policy conditions.

Makers of Dolo-650, a fever reducing drug, had distributed freebies worth whooping Rs 1,000 crore to doctors as consideration for prescribing the tablet, the Federation of Medical & Sales Representatives Association of India told the Supreme Court.
Justice DY Chandrachud, who was hearing the matter today, said that it was a serious issue and even he was prescribed the same anti-fever drug during COVID.
The petition said such practices not only result in over-use of drugs, it can also jeopardise the health of the patients; such corruption also pushes high-priced or irrational drugs in the market.
Meanwhile, the court has directed the Central government to file a reply within 10 days.
It is worth mentioning that Dolo-650 was the most prescribed medicine all through COVID-19 pandemic since the start of 2020.

Dolo-650 was the most prescribed medicine all through COVID-19 pandemic since the start of 2020.

Makers of Dolo-650, a fever reducing drug, allegedly distributed freebies worth whooping Rs 1,000 crore to doctors as consideration for prescribing the tablet, a body of medical representatives told the Supreme Court.&nbsp; The Federation of Medical &amp; Sales Representatives Association of India made this submission to the Supreme Court amid a public interest litigation (PIL) petition hearing that is seeking directions to make pharmaceutical companies liable for giving freebies to doctors as incentive to prescribe their drugs.
Justice DY Chandrachud, who was hearing the matter, said that it was a serious issue and even he was prescribed the same anti-fever drug during COVID.
"This is not music to my ears. I was also asked to have the same when I had COVID. This is a serious issue and matter," Justice Chandrachud remarked. The petition said such practices not only result in over-use of drugs, it can also jeopardise the health of the patients; such corruption also pushes high-priced or irrational drugs in the market.
Meanwhile, the court has directed the Central government to file a reply within 10 days.
On March 11, the top court agreed to examine a plea seeking direction to the Centre for formulating a Uniform Code of Pharmaceutical Marketing Practices to curb unethical practices of Pharma companies and ensure an effective monitoring mechanism, transparency, accountability as well as consequences for violations.

A LinkedIn user Vinayak Rajanahally shares two images of the same bill that the user has to pay if he gets it delivered by food delivery apps like Swiggy or Zomata and in the second case getting the food being picked up by himself from the restaurant. 
According to the images posted by the LinkedIn user, the pricing of the food items if delivered online was being shown at ₹823 on Swiggy and ₹785 on Zomato but only ₹440 when the same was taken in offline mode.
He further added, ''today, user behavior is such, we don’t think twice to order food online, assuming it would be just 10 to 20% higher than normal, which is OK to pay for convenience. Year after SEBI allowed mutual fund houses to introduce silver exchange-traded funds, asset management company (AMC) Edelweiss Mutual Fund is scheduled to launch India’s first scheme that offers exposure to gold and silver via a single fund on 24 August.
Edelweiss’ new scheme will target equal exposure to the two metals and will rebalance periodically. Since the AMC doesn’t have a standalone gold or silver fund, the scheme will invest in units of gold and silver ETFs managed by other fund houses or Edelweiss.
The new fund offer for Edelweiss Gold and Silver ETF Fund of Fund (FoF) will close on 7 September. The fund’s managers for the scheme are Bhavesh Jain and Bharat Lahoti. 
Gold ETF, which aims to track the domestic physical gold price, are passive investment instruments that are based on gold prices and invest in gold bullion.

It's a shiny new offer from the house of Edelweiss right ahead of the festive season. Year after SEBI allowed mutual fund houses to introduce silver exchange-traded funds, asset management company (AMC) Edelweiss Mutual Fund is scheduled to launch India&rsquo;s first scheme that offers exposure to gold and silver via a single fund on August 24.
Edelweiss&rsquo; new scheme will target equal exposure to the two metals and will rebalance periodically. Since the AMC doesn&rsquo;t have a standalone gold or silver fund, the scheme will invest in units of gold and silver ETFs managed by other fund houses or Edelweiss.
The new fund offer for Edelweiss Gold and Silver ETF Fund of Fund (FoF) will close on 7 September. The scheme would invest in shares of gold and silver ETFs managed by other fund houses or Edelweiss since the AMC lacks a single gold or silver fund. Looking for a hedge against inflation and reccession, the yellow metal has provided much solace to investors. Data showed that the yellow metal was up 26.1%, 31.7% and 11.3% during recession and market down-cycles in 2008, 2011 and 2016, respectively.

Zomato-backed logistics technology platform Shiprocket has become the latest entrant to the country&rsquo;s unicorn club after raising $32 billion&nbsp; in a funding round which valued the company at over $1.2 billion. Shiprocket joins peers Delhivery, Xpressbees, and BlackBuck in the unicorn clique.&nbsp; The fresh funding round led was by Light Rock India and as per the startup&rsquo;s regulatory filing, Singapore&rsquo;s sovereign fund Temasek, Bertelsmann, Moore Strategic Ventures, Paypal, March Capital, and Huddle also participated.
The fresh funding comes at a time when the company has been on an acquisition spree. The startup has acquired five firms over the last one year.&nbsp;
