PF Bonanza! EPFO credits interest in PF accounts, here is how to check your balance

Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has credited 22.55 crore account holders with interest at the rate of 8.50% for the financial year gone by.

Earlier this year, the EPFO decided to keep the rate of interest unchanged on provident fund deposits at 8.5 per cent for the financial year 2020-21. Before that, representatives of the labour ministry had asked the finance ministry to fast track the decision of fixing the interest rates.

Here is how you can check your PF balance online

  • To check the balance, EPFO members need to send an SMS to 7738299899 by typing EPFOHO UAN ENG
  • Registered users can send a missed call to 011-22901406 after which they will get an SMS with details of the PF account balance.
  • Registered users can also check PF balance via EPFO website
  • You can also access your PF passbook on the UMANG app after logging in with your UAN and OTP.
