Winners begin early, they say! Elon Musk was just 10-year-old when he bought his first computer, taught himself how to program, and sold the first commercial software game, Blastar, created by him in 1983 for $500.

The First Company

Born in a South African family, Musk launched his first company in 1995. Zip2, an online city guide was later acquired by Compaq Computer Corporation for $307 million in cash and $34 million in stock options.

The First Billion Dollars

Musk, with the sale proceeds, went on to develop the online payment platform X.com, in 1999 when he was 28. That was later merged with Paypal and finally sold to eBay. for $1.5 billion, making Musk a billionaire in October 2002. Musk was a little over 30 at that point.

The First Private Space Company

Musk founded his third company, Space Exploration Technologies Corporation, or SpaceX, in 2002. As per a Bloomberg report, the company was last valued at $100 billion in October 2021.

The First All-Electric Car

Only a year later, Elon Musk launched Tesla. The company doesn't need an explanation for its product... Tesla became the world's most valuable carmaker in July 2020 and further gains led to Musk becoming the world's richest person.

The First Person With $300-Billion Net Worth

Elon Musk's net value stood at $20 billion in December 2019. However, Elon Musk, as of November 1, 2021 is the world's richest person with over $300 billion net worth, the first one to touch the mark. His gains were majorly supported by the increase in the value of Tesla stocks, which have risen 1,800% in the last two years. As per the Bloomberg's Billionaire Index, Elon Musk made $141 billion this year up till now.

From a net worth of $20 billion at the age of 48, Elon Musk is now making billions in a day. He made a whopping $9 billion in a day as per Bloomberg's data.
