'Wow and Pow': Stocks in news that you need to take note of

First trading session of 2022 has kicked off in style with the bulls in-charge of the street. From auto stocks after December sales to tech stocks ahead of earnings many scrips are 'wow'ing the street. Meanwhile feeling the hit are 'lockdown' fearing stocks such as airlines and cinema halls. • Tata Motors: Super December sales - highest-ever monthly sales, highest ever quarterly sales, highest annual sales since its inception. Company also overtook Hyundai as the number 2 in India for passenger vehicles.
• Eicher Motors: Riding into gains as Royal Enfield clocked in a 42% rise in sales vs the month of November. Commercial Vehicle sales also rose 50% vs the month before and 25% vs last year
• Tech stocks rally: TCS, Infosys, Wipro gain in trade ahead of earning season, all three reporting earnings on January 12
• Midcap watch - Solara Active: ICICI Securities puts a buy on this stock
• Indigo: Airline stock Indigo hit in trade as states increase restrictions, West Bengal limits flights from Delhi and Mumbai to just two a week.
