Kardashians to Insta: 'Stop trying to be Tik Tok'

Instagram's second most followed celebrity wants the platform to stop trying to copy Tik Tok. Kylie Jenner followed by sister Kim Kardashian put out a post saying “Make Instagram Instagram again.”

Kylie's post on her Instagram Stories yearned for the OG Insta as it read "Stop trying to be tiktok i just want to see cute photos of my friends. Sincerely, everyone.” With 360 million followers, Jenner is second in followers only to soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo.

Facebook parent Meta which owns Instagram has been steadily creeping into Tik Tok territory as it promotes Reels over Insta posts. The 'full frame video' redesign mimicking Tik Tok was met with displeasure by many app users.
