Delhi Metro has extended its QR code-based ticketing service to the Paytm app across all its lines. The expansion was inaugurated by Vikas Kumar, the Managing Director of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC). Commuters can now obtain a mobile QR ticket via the 'Delhi Metro' section on the Paytm app by entering their entry and destination stations on the day of travel.

To use this feature, passengers simply hold their smartphones in front of the QR code scanner at the Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) gates when entering and exiting the stations. Previously, this service was limited to the Airport Express Line.

Vikas Kumar emphasized that this expansion is a significant step towards providing efficient and stress-free transportation for metro commuters in the national capital. He also highlighted DMRC's commitment to digital ticketing and the Digital India initiative.

Additionally, with the Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon scheduled for October 15, DMRC announced that train services will begin at 3:45 am from terminal stations across all metro lines to facilitate the transportation of participants to the race venue at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium and the '10K' venue on Janpath-Tolstoy Marg Junction. Trains will run at 15-minute intervals until 6 am and then return to their regular schedules for the rest of the day on all lines."
