Bye Bye WFH era! Google tells employees to return to office

Search giant Google said it will end the voluntary work-from-home period as it has asked employees to return to office starting April 4. The silicon valley firm will end the voluntary work-from-home period and have employees transition to a "hybrid" routine. The company expects most workers to split between three days of in-person work and two days of operating remotely.

Google however said company will be testing new ways of working and will “gather insights, data, and feedback along the way.”

All eyes now move to Apple who has been 'keenest' to get the workforce back to the HQ at 1 Infinite Loop, Apple Park. Back in November, Apple told employees that it wanted them to return to their offices starting in February, but with the Omicron surge in December, Apple delayed the return indefinitely.
