Bengaluru's Kempegowda international airport tops global punctuality rankings again

Bengaluru's Kempegowda International Airport has clinched the title of the world's most punctual airport for the third consecutive month, as per Cirium's 'The On-Time Performance Monthly Report.' This accolade marks the airport's sustained excellence in ensuring timely departures, enhancing passenger experience.

Operated by Bangalore International Airport Limited, Kempegowda International Airport boasted an impressive record, achieving a punctuality rate of 87.51% in July, 89.66% in August, and 88.51% in September, according to a statement released by BIAL on Tuesday.

The on-time departure ranking, a key measure in evaluating airport efficiency, calculates the percentage of flights that took off within 15 minutes of their scheduled departure time.

Cirium's evaluation process involves a comprehensive analysis of flight data from airports across the globe, providing an authoritative assessment of punctuality. Bengaluru's airport has consistently outperformed its peers, ensuring travellers experience reliable and timely departures, a crucial factor in today's fast-paced world.

This accomplishment reflects the airport's commitment to operational excellence and also showcases Bengaluru's status as a hub for efficient air travel.
