In India, Oppenheimer is outperforming Barbie. However, globally its Barbie which is attracting a larger audience. 

Barbie Vs Oppenheimer: Which film is winning the box office race?

Barbie and Oppenheimer continue to dominate the silver screen in India. With the hype surrounding both films, multiplex owners in India had high hopes of an increase in footfalls. But, which film is leading the box office race?

Globally, its Barbie which is outperforming. But, in India its a different story with Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer attracting a bigger audience.

Barbie, opened strong, garnering ₹5 crore on its opening day. With collections increasing over the weekend reaching ₹6.5 crore on Saturday, and over ₹7 crore on Sunday. However, Monday collections dipped to ₹2.30 crore. But, the movie has already amassed ₹23.25 crore in its first five days, as per Sacnilk.

Meanwhile, Oppenheimer collections stood at ₹14.5 crore on Friday. The momentum continued over the weekend with a total collection of around ₹34 crore. However, the film experienced a notable decline on Monday, earning ₹7 crore. Despite the dip, Oppenheimer's reached ₹62 crore in the first five days.

Barbie Vs Oppenheimer: Worldwide collections

Barbie grossed $26.2 million in North America on day 4 and as per reports, this was the biggest Monday ever for Warner Bros. even beating Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight’s 15-year record.

Meanwhile, Oppenheimer had the biggest global opening for a biopic. It was the third highest opening for a Christopher Nolan film after the Dark Knight Rises and The Dark Knight.

Both films combined grossed more than $511 million worldwide and $235.5 million in the US over the first weekend, as per latest figures.
