Pride Month 2023: Countries that allow same-sex marriage; this country was the first one to do so

As Pride Month is going on, LGBTQIA+ people are hopefully seeking the legal recognition of same-sex marriages in India. In May, the Supreme Court reserved its verdict on the petitions that were looking forward to a decision on the same.

Notably, there are 34 countries where same-sex marriage is legal. Out of 34, 23 countries have legalised same-sex marriage nationally through legislation and 10 of them have legalised same-sex marriage nationally through court decisions.
