Residents in the capital city of New Zealand have been warned by the authorities after every single lamp in Wellington is at risk of falling down, as per The Guardian. The announcement was made by the Wellington city council on Wednesday afternoon that all of its street lamps were suffering from the same joining fault. It has further urged residents to report if they 'see a drooping light'.

The council has records of 17 lamps having fallen to the ground in the past four years, while 161 lights have been reported as drooping since the issue became widely known this year, The Guardian reported.

It further said, 600 lamps have been fixed since the fault was first observed but it would cost nearly NZ$6m to fix them all.
