As TIME magazine unveiled its list of the 'World's Greatest Places 2023, two Indian destinations have made it to the list. The list includes 50 spots from all over the world, including Odisha&rsquo;s Mayurbhanj district and the Union Territory of Ladakh.
Talking about Mayurbhanj, the magazine noted that it is the only place on earth to spot the rare black tiger. Apart from the famous Similipal National Park, there's a lot more that you can do in this district.
On the other hand, with its astonishing alpine landscapes and Tibetan Buddhist culture, Ladakh has enough wonders to warrant multiple visits, according to the magazine.
Last year, Kerala and Ahmedabad were included in the list.

In what has been dubbed as the world's first, a Polish pilot safely landed his modified aircraft on the narrow helipad of the iconic Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai.

Red Bull Motorsports which shared the daring stunt video have hailed it as the world's first. Pilot and aerobatics expert Luke Czepiela from Poland reportedly did 650 practice landings before the attempt. It's also learnt that he&rsquo;s the first pilot to land on the helipad and had been preparing for the challenge for two years.
The video shows the plane touching down on the narrow helipad, and after initial hiccups, the plane comes to a halt and takes off from there.

Adventure tourism at Varkala beach turned a harrowing experience for a tourist from Tamil Nadu on Tuesday afternoon after she and her paragliding instructor got entangled on a more than 50-metre tall high-mast lamp pole and were left hanging from it for nearly two hours before being rescued.
As the Fire department did not have a ladder which was not tall enough, the rescue plan was to lower the columns of the high mast to bring them to safety and as a precautionary measure mattresses and nets were placed at the bottom of the pole, police said.
Thereafter, the pole was lowered and the 28-year old woman and the paragliding instructor were rescued, police said.
Both of them have been admitted to the Taluk Hospital in Varkala and are safe, police said.
The mishap occurred when the paragliders, who took off from a helipad at Varkala, were blown towards the high mast lamp pole due to a sudden change in wind direction, police said.
The glider got entangled in the pillar and both gliders were trapped hanging from the top of it.
The public alerted the police and fire service personnel when they saw the gliders hanging from the pillar.
Police said the paragliding instructor belonged to Varkala and the woman was a tourist from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.
