Four days after a major earthquake, the scale of devastation in Turkey and Syria continues to grow larger.

The death toll crossed the 21,000-mark by the morning of 10 February 2023 even as search and rescue operations continued to find survivors.

First batch of aid from the United Nations reached rebel-held areas in Syria, days after the 7.8-magnitude earthquake. World Health Organisation chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus also announced a visit to Syria.

Meanwhile, the United States of America announced $85 million in aid for Turkey and Syria.
