This Canada province is the first to cave in to truckers' protest, ends vaccine passports

A Canadian province has given in to nationwide protests by the nation’s truckers against the Covid vaccine mandate.

Alberta province has decided to abolish vaccine passports immediately and end most Covid-related restrictions by month’s end.

Alberta premier Jason Kenney has announced an end to the vaccine passport requirement to enter businesses in the province. Kenney also said that most other restrictions will be gone in three steps over the next three weeks.

Insisting that “now is the time to begin learning to live with Covid,” the Alberta premier said that "restrictions have led to terrible division.”

The "Freedom Convoy" demonstrations by truckers have shut down Canadian Capital Ottawa in the past weeks and have spread throughout the country. Truckers have been blocking the southern borders with the US demanding an end to vaccine mandates and Covid restrictions.
