This Australian toad could break world record for largest of its species. Here's why

A giant toad weighing about 2.7 kg (6 pounds) has been found in a national park in Australia.
Given its unusually large size, the toad has been dubbed as "Todzilla" and is believably world's largest.

So far, the largest toad has been recorded at 2.65 kg (5.8 pounds) by Guinness World Records. The record was set in 1991 by a Swedish pet.

The recently discovered toad was spotted by Kylee Gray who is a ranger at Conway National Park in Queensland during a patrol on January 12.

The amphibian is female because of its weight which is considered to be more than the male counterparts.

Media reports suggest that Australian officials are working to determine whether "toadzilla" is world's largest.
