Taliban react to Pakistan’s airstrike that killed 8: ‘consequences will be out of your control'

The Taliban have issued a stern warning to Pakistan after Islamabad’s airstrikes allegedly killed eight people on Monday. Taliban spokesperson said the ‘reckless’ strike can have very bad consequences which will be out of Pakistan's control.

The Taliban government also labeled the airstrike a violation of Afghanistan’s sovereignty. All eight people killed in Pakistan's airstrike are believed to be women and children.

The Pakistani strikes come two days after the country’s eight troopers were killed in an attack. President Asif Ali Zardari promised to retaliate to the strikes.

Pakistan would retaliate against every force that enters its border to commit terror and make it accountable for the blood of each fallen soldier, Zardari said on Sunday.

A Lieutenant Colonel and a Captain were killed along with five soldiers. All the six terrorists who attacked the check post in Mir Ali area were shot dead.

"Pakistan has decided that whoever will enter our borders, homes or country and commit terror, we will respond to them strongly, regardless of who it is or from which country,” Zardari was quoted as saying in a statement issued by the Pakistan Army.
