Shinzo Abe funeral: Watch PM Modi's tribute as he met Japan PM Fumio Kishida

Fumio Kishida, Japanese Prime Minister greeted Narendra Modi, Indian Prime Minister in Tokyo on Tuesday and thanked him for visiting Japan as well as attending the state funeral for former Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe.

Kishida said he hopes to work closely with Modi to further develop diplomatic achievements with India.

Modi had expressed his condolences during the meeting commended Abe for his work in fostering Japan's friendship with India.

Japan is filled with tension, rather than sadness, on Tuesday as a rare state funeral for the assassinated former Prime Minister, one of the most divisive leader, deeply splits the nation.

Kishida says the longest-serving leader in Japan's modern political history deserves the honor.

About 4,300 people, including Japanese lawmakers and foreign and local dignitaries, are attending the funeral.
