Scottish minister shares emotional post after family returns from Gaza

The family of Scotland’s first minister Humza Yousaf are “safe and back home” from war-torn Gaza after a “traumatic few weeks.” His in-laws were trapped in Gaza and were reportedly among the 92 British nationals allowed to pass through the Rafah crossing.

The Scottish minister shared a picture of his family, which included his wife Nadia and her parents Elizabeth and Maged El-Nakla.

Some members of Yousaf’s family remain in Gaza. These include his brother-in-law and his wife’s wife's stepmother and grandmother, as per BBC reports.

The social media post came as more than 100 British passport holders continue to struggle in the Gaza Strip.

“All of the family is so pleased to have them back home in Scotland. However, our thoughts remain with those who can't leave and are trapped in a war zone,” Yosaf wrote in a social media post. He also the public to give them privacy.
