Rishi Sunak brings back Indian-origin Suella Braverman as Home Secy. Watch who else is in UK PM's team

On his first day at 10, Downing Street, new UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak got busy building his Cabinet to battle the economic crisis facing the nation. While many ministers part of Liz Truss' Cabinet resigned, Sunak did retain some, while others made a surprise comeback.

Sunak brought back Suella Braverman as Home Secretary, days after she resigned from the post after violating rules by sending an official document from her personal email account. Braverman had quit Truss' Cabinet with a harsh letter criticising her.

Those continuing in their posts include James Cleverly as Foreign Secretary, Jeremy Hunt as finance minister, and Ben Wallace as Defence Secretary. Grant Shapps' portfolio has been changed from Home to Business.

Sunak loyalist Dominic Raab is Deputy Prime Minister and Justice Secretary. Nadhim Zahawi is appointed Conservative party chairman and minister without portfolio.

Meanwhile, Jacob Rees-Mogg resigned as Business Secretary, Brandon Lewis as Justice Secretary, Kit Malthouse as Education Secretary and Sri Lankan-origin Ranil Jayawardena as Environment Secretary.
