PTI chief Imran Khan has said his party would sit in the opposition as it has ruled out forming an alliance with other political parties.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan has ruled out becoming part of any coalition, indicating that the party will not stake to form government at the Centre.

Imran's official X account shared the jailed leader's message saying that the party has been instructed not to engage with any other political party.

Earlier PTI spokesperson Raoof Hasan said that the party looking to join hands with Majlis-e-Wahdat-Muslimeen.

Imran's decision to back out paves the way for Nawaz Sharif to become the country's prime minister for the fourth time. Earlier, Bilawal Bhutto had announced that he was stepping out of the race.
