Pakistan Lauds Efficiency of Chinese Weapons in India Clash

Islamabad, Oct 7 (PTI) – Pakistan Army spokesman, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, has asserted that Chinese weapon systems utilized during the brief military confrontation with India in May, performed with exceptional efficiency. Dawn reported on Tuesday that Lt Gen Chaudhry, who serves as the Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the communication branch of Pakistan's armed forces, made these remarks in an interview with Bloomberg. This interview took place last week and was published on Monday.

"Recent Chinese platforms have showcased impressive capabilities," Chaudhry remarked.

He further emphasized Pakistan's openness to adopting various technologies.

Lt Gen Chaudhry also dismissed India's claim that Pakistan suffered the loss of at least a dozen military aircraft during the conflict. "Pakistan has never manipulated figures or facts," he stated.

Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister, Ishaq Dar, mentioned that the country's air force deployed Chinese J-10C jets in the conflict in May.

The hostilities began with India launching Operation Sindoor on May 7. This was a retaliatory move targeting terror networks in Pakistan and areas under Pakistan's control in Kashmir, following a devastating attack on April 22 in Pahalgam which resulted in the death of 26 civilians.

The conflict between India and Pakistan concluded with a mutual understanding on May 10, after four days marked by significant cross-border drone and missile exchanges.
