A Balochistan-based relief fund has circulated the 'Coke Studio' singer's bank and phone details to seek financial help.

Pakistan: 'Kana Yaari' singer Wahab Bugti homeless after floods; internet extends help

A relief drive has been initiated for Pakistani 'Coke Studio' singer Wahab Bugti who is reportedly struggling to make ends meet amid severe floods in Balochistan.

Taking to Twitter, a user shared the singer's ordeal, circulating pictures of his flooded hometown. Bugti can be seen carrying a child with a flooded piece of land in the background.

Appeals to help Bugti have been trending on social media since the news broke. A Balochistan-based relief fund has extended a helping hand to the 'Kana Yaari' singer. It has circulated Bugti's bank and phone details, urging people to contribute. A Pakistani influencer, Muniba Mazar, who is also a UN Goodwill Ambassador, also shared Bugti's bank account details for help.

Several other collaborators including Xulfi, a producer of Coke Studio, came forward to help the singer. "We are and will continue to be with Wahab Bugti Sahib and his loved ones to help overcome the difficult situation. Rest assured, he is being given all possible support on ground," he tweeted.

Bugti featured in Coke Studio Season 14 alongside Pakistani rapper Eva B and singer Kaifi Khalil for 'Kana Yaari'. The song has received over 35 million views.
