According to New York Police Department, 16 people were injured in the incident with 10 people suffering from gunshot wounds

Chaos ensued at a subway station in New York's Brooklyn after a man filled a rush-hour subway train with smoke and shooting multiple people Tuesday, leaving wounded commuters bleeding on a Brooklyn platform as others ran screaming.

Cell phone video shared on social media showed droves of people in panic and an injured man inside a subway car.

The video shows the train pulling up to the station and as soon as the commuters step on to the platform there are gunshot sounds leading to pandemonium. People start running helter-skelter looking for safety. A cloud of smoke can also been seen in the video.

According to New York Police Department, 16 people were injured in the incident with 10 people suffering from gunshot wounds
