New video shows US Christmas parade horror as car rams runs over people

A new video shot from the top of a building shows the horror of an SUV speeding down the Christmas parade in Wisconsin in the US on Sunday.

A red SUV is seen ploughing through the crowd of revellers, striking down people and creating panic.

Police say the suspect in the crash in suburban Milwaukee was in a domestic disturbance just minutes before he killed five people and injured 48.

Waukesha Police Chief said there's no evidence the man knew anyone in the parade.

Police said they were preparing five charges of intentional homicide against 39-year-old Darrell Brooks Jr of Milwaukee.

Three of the five people killed were members of the "Dancing Grannies," and a fourth was a man who volunteered for the group. An employee of Citizens Bank was also killed.
