Moscow car bomb attack that killed Russian scribe Darya Dugina carried out by Ukraine: reports

Russia has welcomed a news report that claimed that US believes a bomb attack outside Moscow in August was cleared by Ukraine.

Kyiv has neither confirmed nor denied the New York Times report about the car bomb attack in which journalist and comentrator Darya Dugina died.

Her father, Alexander, who is a close aide of Vladmir Putin, was pictured holding his head in shock as he surveyed the wreckage of the vehicle.

The report said “parts” of the Ukrainian government were involved in the 20 August blast outside Moscow.

The United States took no part in the attack on Dugina and was not aware of it ahead of time, the Times reported and added that American officials later admonished Ukrainian officials over the assassination.

While welcoming the report, Kremlin spokesperson, Dmitry Peskov, said he wants to hope that this is not some attempt by Americans to absolve themselves of responsibility for any preparations for future terrorist acts which Ukrainian might prepare.
