The couple tied the knot at a private ceremony at her home in Birmingham and shared lovely pictures of their nikah. We all know Malala very well. But who is Asser Malik. Here is all you need to know about him.

• He describes himself as an entrepreneur with interest in the sports industry

• Asser Malik works for the Pakistan Cricket Board. He’s a General Manager High Performance for the board, according to his LinkedIn page.

• Prior to taking on a job with Pakistan’s Cricket Board, Asser had a role in an amateur cricket league
