London/Hyderabad, Jun 16 (PTI) – A dramatic incident unfolded mid-air as a Lufthansa flight en route to Hyderabad was compelled to make an emergency U-turn and return to Frankfurt Airport due to a bomb threat, the airline reported on Monday.

Flight LH752 had departed from Germany at approximately 14:14 local time on Sunday, with its arrival scheduled at Hyderabad's Rajiv Gandhi International Airport early Monday. However, data from flight tracking platforms indicated a diversion just a few hours into the journey.

Lufthansa assured that all passengers were provided with overnight accommodation in Frankfurt and were set to resume their travel to Hyderabad on Monday morning.

"In response to a bomb threat reported on social media, Lufthansa flight LH752 from Frankfurt to Hyderabad returned to its departure point as a precautionary measure," the airline's statement read.
