Islamabad, Aug 27 (AP) A tragic accident occurred in Afghanistan's capital on Wednesday, where a passenger bus overturned, resulting in the deaths of at least 25 individuals, according to a Taliban official.

The incident happened in the Arghandi area of Kabul, during the early hours of the morning. The bus was reportedly traveling from southern Afghanistan, carrying passengers from Helmand and Kandahar.

Interior Ministry spokesman Abdul Mateen Qani stated that reckless driving was the cause of the accident, which also left 27 people injured.

This unfortunate event follows closely on the heels of another crash less than a week ago in the western province of Herat, which claimed the lives of approximately 80 people.
