Israel gives 3-hours ultimatum to Gazans to move out from north region

As conflict between Israel and Hamas militants entered the 9th day, the Israel defence forces have issued an ultimatum to residents of Gaza to move to the southern region as the forces plan to carry out an all-out ground attack against Palestinian militant group Hamas.

Taking to Twitter, the IDF said, "Residents of Gaza City and northern Gaza, in the past days, we've urged you to relocate to the southern area for your safety. We want to inform you that the IDF will not carry out any operations along this route from 10 AM to 1 PM. During this window, please take the opportunity to move southward from northern Gaza."

It further added, "Your safety and that of your families matters. Please follow our instructions and head southward. Be assured, Hamas leaders have already ensured their safety and that of their families."

Meanwhile, Gaza's 2.3 million civilians faced a deepening struggle for food, water and safety, a week after Hamas militants launched a deadly assault on Israel.
