India stands firmly with Israel: PM Modi after Benjamin Netanyahu dials him

As Israel battles Hamas militants on the fourth day since the Palestinian militant group launched a surprise assault on Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu spoke with his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi.

The Israeli PM briefed PM Modi on the ongoing war between Hamas and Israel that has killed hundreds of people on both sides.

Thousands have been wounded as Israel and Hamas continue bombardment.

The Indian leader took to X and said, I thank Prime Minister @netanyahu for his phone call and for providing an update on the ongoing situation. People of India stand firmly with Israel in this difficult hour. India strongly and unequivocally condemns terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.

Notably, Israel on Tuesday said about 1,500 bodies of Hamas militants were found in Israeli territory as, as it said it had largely gained control in the country's south and “restored full control” over the border.
