IDF’s Platoon Commander From Elite Golani Brigade Killed In Ambush Led By 5

IDF continues to suffer casualties in Lebanon ground offensive. IDF officer killed, another seriously wounded in Hezbollah assault. Lieutenant Ivri Dickshtein killed during fighting with Hezbollah on Nov 14. Dickshtein, was a platoon commander in the Golani Brigade’s 51st Battalion. He had led his platoon in an offensive in a village in southern Lebanon. Troops entered a building where they encountered at least 5 Hezbollah fighters. The platoon commander was killed and another officer was seriously wounded: IDF. Another soldier was also moderately hurt, IDF claimed 5 Hezbollah fighters also dead. In Israel, a drone from Lebanon impacted near the northern town of Eliakim. The drone had set off sirens for more than half an hour along Israel’s northern coast. 2 soldiers injured in a drone hit were admitted to hospital in Haifa with shrapnel wounds. The casualties came as Israel continued to pound Hezbollah targets in Lebanon. The attacks even in Syria come as the sides continued to look toward a possible truce.
