Expect Iran to attack Israel sooner than later: Biden

US President Joe Biden on April 12 said that he expects Iran to mount an attack on Israel sooner than later. He warned Iran against it. Speaking to mediapersons at White House, Biden said that the US is devoted to the defence of Israel. He added that the US will help defend Israel and Iran will not succeed. The US has been on high alert for a possible attack by Tehran following an Israeli attack in Syria that killed two Iranian generals.

Meanwhile, US National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said Iran's threats of reprisals against Israel after a strike in Syria this month that killed two Iranian generals remain remain.

"We still deem the potential threat by Iran here to be real, to be viable," Kirby told journalists.
