Donald Trump's Ex-aide Warns Israel Against Annexation Of Palestine Land

Israel’s alleged plan to annex Palestinian land, Trump's ex-aide issues warning. Israel Cabinet ministers warned; annexation move against US foreign policy. President-elect unlikely to support annexation of West Bank in 2nd term: report.

2 of Trump's ex-aides have warned Israeli ministers against move. Messages were delivered to Israeli officials at different meetings that took place. But Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich said 2025 would be year of sovereignty in the West Bank.

Bezalel Smotrich said thanks to Trump’s return to office, hinting at his support. Israel's National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir also said 'This is the time for sovereignty'. Israeli PM announced Yechiel Leiter as Israel’s next ambassador to the US.

Leiter has advocated for annexing large parts of West Bank and opposed the Palestinian state. In 2020, Trump's peace plan proposal suggested annexing all of its settlements.

However, the proposal allowed the establishment of a Palestinian state too.

"One former Trump aide told an Israeli minister that a second Trump administration would not back applying Israeli sovereignty to settlements “in a vacuum,” just like it did not do so in 2020, the second Israeli official recalled." Israeli Times Report.
