Clean-up efforts underway in Brazil's capital after riots

Cleaning and repair work was underway on Tuesday at a Brasilia government building, days after a riot by supporters of former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro.

Workers could be seen removing debris and repairing windows at Palácio do Planalto, the official presidential workplace, after mobs of rioters stormed the nation's halls of power on Sunday.

Brazilian authorities said Monday that they were looking into who may have been behind the shocking uprising that had striking similarities to the Jan. 6, 2021, insurrection at the U.S. Capitol.

Newly inaugurated leftist president, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva was expected to work from the Planalto Tuesday.
