As deadline inches closer, Twitter employee sleeps next to workstation

In order to meet deadline set by new boss Elon Musk, Twitter's product management director is working round the clock.

Esther Crawford in a viral photo is seen sleeping next to her work station to ensure deadlines are not missed.

The picture was shared by Twitter Spaces' product manager Evan Jones with a quirky caption - "when you need something from your boss."

Defending the picture, Crawford said it is not normal to work for extended hours at Twitter but they are less than a week into a major business transition and her team is giving it their all.

Soon after taking over, Musk instructed employees to work 24*7 ahead of the revamp of Twitter's verification process, non compliance of which will result in job loss.

Reuters reported that major job cuts are expected by the social media giant as Musk plans to lay off of at least one-fourth of its workforce.
