Air Canada kicks out 2 passengers for refusing to sit in vomit-covered seats

Two passengers on an Air Canada flight were escorted off the plane after they refused to sit in vomit-covered seats. The two women were flying to Vienna via Montreal. The incident happened on August 26 and was shared on social media by a fellow passenger named Susan Benson.

She wrote that someone in the previous flight had vomited in the area and Air Canada was not able to clean the seats thoroughly. They tried to mask the smell by using perfumes and coffee grinds.

Benson went on to write that when the two women refused to sit in the vomit-covered seats they were told by the crew that they had no other option as the flight was full. The passengers then asked the crew to give them blankets and wipes so that they could cover the seats.

Once the women sat in their seats, the pilot came and told them to 'leave the plane and organize flights on their own dime or they would be escorted off the plane by security and placed on a no-fly list' for being rude to the flight attendant. Benson in her post disagreed and said that the women were just upset and firm but not rude.

The passengers were then deboarded from the plane by security.

Benson said that following the incident she was ashamed to be a Canadian.

'I am ashamed to be a Canadian and ashamed of Air Canada. Shame on you Air Canada! shame on you!'

Air Canada has issued to an apology to the two passengers and said that they are taking the matter seriously.
