Arya's remarks came after Gurpatwant Singh Pannun and other extremist elements issued threats to the Hindu community in Canada, warning them to go back to India, amid the ongoing standoff between the two countries.

The report came on September 23 as the top US diplomat in Canada confirmed that there was shared intelligence among Five Eyes partners that had prompted Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's offensive allegation against India in the killing of a Khalistani extremist on Canadian soil.

However, Canada took no significant action against him, except for placing him on a 'no-fly list,' Indian Express reported quoting the intelligence agency file on Nijjar.
Nijjar had been associated with Khalistani militants since the 1980s and travelled to Pakistan in 2012, where he received training in arms and explosives.
Upon returning to Canada, he began raising funds for terrorist activities through his associates involved in drug and arms smuggling within Canada.
In 2014, Nijjar planned a terror attack in Haryana's Sirsa, but the Indian government denied him a visa, according to the dossier.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, Poilievre said Liberals arranged for Nazi veteran to be recognized on the floor of the House of Commons during Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy&rsquo;s visit to Canada this week. He called it an &ldquo;appalling error&rdquo; in judgement on the part of Trudeau, whose office is responsible for arranging and vetting all guests and programming for state visits of this kind.
In a post shared on X, Pierre Poilievre stated, &ldquo;It has come out today that Justin Trudeau personally met with and honoured a veteran of the 14th Waffen Grenadier Division of the SS (a Nazi division). Liberals then arranged for this Nazi veteran to be recognized on the floor of the House of Commons during the visit of the Ukrainian President.&rdquo;
He further added, &ldquo;This is an appalling error in judgement on the part of Justin Trudeau, whose personal protocol office is responsible for arranging and vetting all guests and programming for state visits of this kind. No parliamentarians (other than Justin Trudeau) had the opportunity to vet this individual&rsquo;s past before he was introduced and honoured on the floor of the House of Commons. Without warning or context, it was impossible for any parliamentarian in the room (other than Mr. Trudeau) to know of this dark past. Mr Trudeau must personally apologize and avoid passing the blame to others as he always does.&rdquo;
He made the statement in response to a post shared by Canadian-based human rights group organisation Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center&rsquo;s (FSWC) post shared on X.&nbsp;
In the post, Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center stated, &ldquo;FSWC is appalled that Canada&rsquo;s Parliament gave a standing ovation to a Ukrainian veteran who served in a Nazi military unit during the Second World War implicated in the mass murder of Jews and others.&rdquo;&nbsp;
Meanwhile, Anthony Rota, Speaker of Canada&rsquo;s House of Commons, has extended apologies to Jewish communities in Canada and around the world. He spoke about introducing an individual in the gallery on September 22 during Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy&rsquo;s address at the Canadian Parliament.&nbsp;
In a statement, Rota said, &ldquo;On Friday, September 22, in my remarks following the address of the President of Ukraine, I recognized an individual in the gallery. I have subsequently become aware of more information which causes me to regret my decision to do so. I wish to make clear that no one, including fellow parliamentarians and the Ukraine delegation, was aware of my intention or of my remarks before I delivered them.&rdquo;
He further said, &ldquo;This initiative was entirely my own, the individual in question being from my riding and having been brought to my attention. I particularly want to extend my deepest apologies to Jewish communities in Canada and around the world. I accept full responsibility for my actions.&rdquo;
On Friday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed the Canadian Parliament and said that Russia&rsquo;s aggression must end with Ukraine&rsquo;s victory. He offered repeated thanks to Canada for its continued support of Kyiv.
Zelenskyy was accompanied by Ukraine&rsquo;s First Lady Olena Zelenska. They received a standing ovation upon arrival in the House of Commons.
In his address at the Canadian Parliament, Zelenskyy said, &ldquo;This Russian aggression must end with our victory so that Russia will never bring back genocide to Ukraine and will never ever try to do so, Moscow must lose once and for all and it will lose.&rdquo;

&ldquo;Trump edges out Biden 51-42 in head-to-head matchup,&rdquo; the poll said. Trump is way ahead of his other Republican rivals in the party&rsquo;s presidential race. The GOP's formal nomination process will begin with the Iowa Caucus and the New Hampshire Primary in January.
While two of the Indian-American Republican presidential aspirants -- former South Carolina governor Nikki Haley and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy -- have gained momentum in recent weeks, Trump is far ahead of his GOP rivals and political pundits believe that he is on his way to becoming the party&rsquo;s nominee.
The Washington Post-ABC News poll released on Sunday said that a record number of Americans say they have become worse off under his presidency. Three-quarters say he's too old for another term and Donald Trump is looking better in retrospect -- all severe challenges for Biden in his reelection campaign ahead, according to the poll results.
However, the Washington Post disagrees with the results of the poll. The prominent American daily reported that the poll showing Trump beating Biden by 10 points is likely an &ldquo;outlier&rdquo; as the two rivals are in a dead heat according to other polls.
&ldquo;The Post-ABC poll shows Biden trailing Trump by 10 percentage points at this early stage in the election cycle, although the sizable margin of Trump&rsquo;s lead in this survey is significantly at odds with other public polls that show the general election contest a virtual dead heat. The difference between this poll and others, as well as the unusual makeup of Trump&rsquo;s and Biden&rsquo;s coalitions in this survey, suggest it is probably an outlier,&rdquo; the daily said.
According to the poll, Trump is favoured by 54 per cent of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is second at 15 per cent, down from 25 per cent in May.&nbsp;

Tensions flared between India and Canada ᨊfollowing Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's explosive allegations of a "potential" involvement of Indian agents in the killing of Khalistani extremist Hardeep Singh Nijjar, 45, on his country's soil on June 18 in British Columbia. India had designated Nijjar as a terrorist in 2020.
India angrily rejected the allegations as "absurd" and "motivated" and expelled a senior Canadian diplomat in a tit-for-tat move to Ottawa's expulsion of an Indian official over the case.
Canada had been seeking deeper trade, defence and immigration ties with India before the &ldquo;credible intelligence,&rdquo; as Trudeau called it, was first raised with Canadian officials, Global News reported.
In an interview aired Sunday on The West Block, Blair suggested Canada will continue to pursue those partnerships while the investigation into allegations continues, calling the relationship with India &ldquo;important.&rdquo; &ldquo;We understand that this can be, and has proven to be, a challenging issue with respect to our relationship with India,&rdquo; he was quoted as saying by Global News.
&ldquo;But at the same time, we have a responsibility to defend the law, defend our citizens, and at the same time make sure that we conduct a thorough investigation and get to the truth.&rdquo; If the allegations are proven true, Blair said &ldquo;there is a very significant concern that Canada will have with respect to the violation of our sovereignty in the murder of a Canadian citizen on Canadian soil.&rdquo; Blair said the Indo-Pacific strategy was still a critical one for Canada and has led to an increased military presence in the region and commitments for further patrol capabilities.
The strategy commits USD 492.9 million over five years toward those military priorities, out of a total of nearly USD 2.3 billion over the same period.
On Thursday, India asked Canada to come down hard on terrorists and anti-India elements operating from its soil and suspended visa services for Canadians, as escalating tensions between the two nations over the killing of Nijjar pushed their ties to an all-time low.
India also asked Canada to downsize its diplomatic staff in the country, arguing that there should be parity in strength and rank equivalence in the mutual diplomatic presence. The size of Canadian diplomatic staff in India is larger than what New Delhi has in Canada.
